Driveway and Walkway Cleaning in Guilderland

Concrete and pavers collect tire marks, algae, mildew and grime. We clean them with a flat surface cleaner that works the whole area evenly, so you get a uniform finish instead of wand stripes. Call for a free quote.

What surface cleaning does

Surface cleaning is how we wash flat areas around the house: driveways, walkways, front steps, patios and decks. A round surface cleaner rolls across the concrete and spins water under a cover, so the spray stays low and the cleaning is even.

Over time, shade and wet weather leave green and black growth on concrete, and cars leave dirt and tire marks. Besides looking dingy, algae can make steps and walks slick. A cleaning brings the surface back to an even color.

We rinse the edges and nearby siding when we finish. If a stain is set deep, like old oil, we tell you up front how much we expect it to lighten.

What a surface cleaning includes

A walk around the house
We look at your roofline, fascia, soffits and gutters before we quote. We note where the track can run clean and where corners or peaks need extra pieces.
Track matched to your trim
The channel is color-matched so it disappears against the fascia during the day. Most neighbors won't notice it until the lights come on.
Mounting that leaves the roof alone
We fasten to the fascia or under the drip edge, not through shingles. Nothing gets in the way of water leaving the roof.
Controller and app setup
We place the controller near an outdoor-rated outlet, connect it to your Wi-Fi and load a few scenes. Before we leave, we show you how to change colors, set timers and build your own patterns.
Cleanup
Clips, cut-offs and packaging leave with us. Your yard looks the way it did when we arrived.

Signs permanent lighting makes sense for you

  • You dread the ladder every fall

If hanging and pulling down holiday strings is a two-weekend chore, a one-time install ends it. Lights stay up and you just switch scenes.

  • Your strings keep dying

Store-bought strands rarely last more than a few seasons in snow and freezing rain. You end up buying them again and again.

  • Clips are scarring your gutters

Plastic clips crack and leave marks every year. A fixed track sits in one place and stays put.

  • You want light all year, not just December

Warm white for everyday use, colors for holidays and team games. One system handles all of it.

  • Your entry is dark

Light along the roofline helps you find the steps and the door on long winter nights.

What moves the price

Permanent lighting costs more up front than a box of strings. The real comparison is the total over the years: the strings you won't rebuy, the ladder time you won't spend, and the clips you won't replace. We price by your house, not a flat package.

Length of roofline

Price follows the linear feet of track. A ranch with one straight run costs less than a house with several gables.

Height and access

Second-story eaves and steep peaks take more setup and more time on the ladder or lift.

Corners and peaks

Each turn needs fitted pieces. A busy roofline with dormers adds parts and labor.

Power and controller placement

If there's an outdoor outlet close by, the job is simpler. Longer wire runs to reach power add a little to the total.

How install day runs

  1. 1

Free quote by phone, then a visit

You tell us about the house. We come out, measure the roofline and give you a written quote with each part listed.

  2. 2

    Layout check

On the day, we walk the plan with you and mark where the track and controller go. You approve it before anything is mounted.

  3. 3

    Mount and wire

The crew runs the track, sets the lights and hides the wire runs. Most homes are done in a day, depending on size and height.

  4. 4

    Test and hand-off

We light every section, fix any dark spots, and walk you through the app until you're comfortable using it.

Questions we hear

What if I need a new roof or gutters later?

The track mounts to the fascia, so most roof work doesn't touch it. If gutters or fascia get replaced, the track can come down and go back up. Tell us when you call and we'll explain what that involves for your house.

Will the lights hold up to upstate winters?

The track is built for outdoor use and sits tight under the roofline, out of the worst of the weather. Snow and ice that would bury or tangle loose strings mostly slide past it. If a section ever acts up, call us and we'll come look at it.

Is it worth it if I only decorate at Christmas?

Maybe not, and we'll say so. It pays off best for people who would use it for several holidays, everyday warm white, or both. On the call, we'll go over how you'd really use it.

Can I see the track in daylight?

Very little. It's slim and color-matched to your trim. From the street, most people can't tell it's there.

Do you work outside Guilderland?

Yes. We install in Westmere, Voorheesville, Albany, Colonie and other nearby towns. Ask when you call and we'll let you know.
